Cheah Poh Gek
Messrs. Cheah Poh Gek & Associates
Ms. Cheah Poh Gek is the Founder and Managing Partner of Messrs. Cheah Poh Gek & Associates. She holds a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, Australia, and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1985.
With 40 years of legal practice, Poh Gek has extensive experience in conveyancing, banking and commercial transactions, as well as civil and commercial litigation and family law matters. Her cases have been reported in leading Malaysian law journals, and her work also spans arbitration, adjudication, and mediation.
Highly regarded for her well-grounded opinions and practical approach, Poh Gek is often sought for second opinions on complex matters. Since 2018, she has been a judge for the Malaysian National Rounds of the LAWASIA International Moot Competition and currently serves as a member of the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board.
